Recital Information

As the season progresses, additional recital information or updates will be posted here on the website, at the studio on the bulletin board, and in a newsletter.

Please make it your responsibility to keep abreast of this important information. It is our goal to make the recital experience organized and exciting for all involved. It is a team effort. Students, their parents, the teachers and all of the directors are key players in the success of the show. Performance Handbooks will be given out by November 1st, this tool will help to answer all of your performance related questions and so that you will have all important information (dates, times, etc.) in one convenient place! Dancer’s Workshop reserves the right to refuse any student participation in performances without refund of monies paid due to extreme and excessive absences.

Dedication to the recital commitment is the responsibility of both students and their parents. The following information will help clarify what is expected from you in terms of commitment and responsibility to the annual recital, the studio, and other students and parents.

Our recitals offer our students a professionally directed performance that allows them to present to their family and friends, the result of years of hard work, dedication and progress. It is a chance for the dancers to shine in front of family and friends!

The recital is two performances on a Friday and Saturday in mid-June. It is mandatory that your child performs in both nights of the June recital. The children work very hard throughout the year and are very excited to perform their numbers during the show. If a child is missing, it could greatly compromise the outcome of the number. This is required of your dancer out of respect and fairness to your teammates and your teachers. If you have any questions or concerns please see Mrs.  Allison or Mrs. Diane at the desk.

Dress rehearsal is a closed rehearsal. In order to enter dress rehearsal you need to present a dress rehearsal pass, this pass is obtained when you purchase your recital tickets. One rehearsal pass per family. If you are a backstage mom, you will be given a special wristband to enter the rehearsal. We have these rules because people who just come to the dress rehearsal do not receive the full experience if they were to go to the recital.

There is also a Christmas benefit for the Cops for Kids in early December. New this year, we will be doing group number photographs for the Christmas and June recitals. You will have an opportunity to purchase these photographs as well. More information to follow regarding dates, times, and prices.
